FocusLens ("the Extension") is an AI-powered productivity filter for YouTube. It helps users filter distracting video cards and Shorts while browsing YouTube.
FocusLens is designed with privacy in mind. The Extension processes video-title information locally on the user's device and does not collect, sell, or share personal user data.
FocusLens does not collect personal information such as names, email addresses, account credentials, or personal identifiers.
chrome.storage.local to store the user's filter
preferences and locally cached embeddings of YouTube video titles.
FocusLens runs on YouTube pages in order to identify video cards and Shorts and apply the user's configured filtering behavior. This access is required for the core functionality of the Extension.
FocusLens does not use YouTube page access to collect or transmit personal browsing information to external services.
FocusLens requests the minimum permission required for its functionality:

The Extension also declares YouTube pages as content-script match patterns
(https://*.youtube.com/*) so that FocusLens can perform its
filtering functionality directly on YouTube.
Filter preferences and cached embeddings remain in the Extension's local storage until they are removed by the Extension, cleared by the user, or the Extension is removed from the browser.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
